Beepy
I ordered a phone through this company. I wanted to send it back under the Distance Selling Regs. The returns form - helpfully - emailed to me as a pdf required a Returns Authorisation Number.
I was required to ring them (Customer Service: 0844 8801 920) to get a RA number. As you realise this is a 10p per minute number. It was never answered.
I emailed them from their site and two days later got a reply saying that a RA number is not required.
In the meantime I sent a recorded letter to the address on the web site saying that I wanted out of the contract - as I am entitled to do.

Found out this address is wrong - it is now a retail shop owned by the same company but Beepy have moved to Daventry, Northamtonshire. They told me that they would forward any mail to Daventry that they received for Beepy.
In the end remembered SAY NO TO 0870 & got details of a Freephone number. Spoke to a sales guy who told me the PO Box number & address for returns.
So as far as I am concerned Beepy should be dealt with knowing that there are problems. The web site contact details are incorrect. The return details on the Returns Form are incorrect. The high cost Customer service number is never answered.
And remember consumer rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. https://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk were helpful & directed me to a pro forma letter on their site.
As far as I am concerned Beepy is a no no from now on. Any one else had problems?

As I have suspected - another dealer to be avoided. They are offering 12 month free deals but anyone sucked in is (in my view) taking a high risk. Companies with these credentials are not only untrustworthy but fairly likely to disappear before cashback claims are made - later if not sooner.0

I used them for 2 x 18 month contracts on T-Mobile with 1 x free 32" LCD TV and the other with a free PS3. Both arrived on the day they were supposed. No issues with them at all. Everyone makes mistakes and to take a line from mobilejunkie 'As I have suspected - another dealer to be avoided'...... well if you have never made a mistake then you must be Peter Perfect!! Well, I could always sit back and let a few more thousand innocents rush in thinking they're going to end up with something for nothing... or as someone who's done at least threescore score of cashback deals in the last three years and avoided all the common pitfalls where an army has been felled I could speak up and hopefully continue to help at least some avoid the probable end result.0

You have done 180 cashback deals in three years? blimey that is impressive!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

I make threescore 60 - but will be more than that. I ran up to 11 montracts for myself simultaneously at the peak of cashback schemes and several more (at any one time - even now, in fact) for some other people.0
