It's gonna cost Tiscali customers leaving Talk Talk

It seems if you want to leave Tiscali and you have the unbundled package you don't have an active BT line anymore. Called Sky to switch and they said it will cost £35. Post office will charge £40. BT will tie you into a 12 month deal on line rental.

TT have us by the b***s. :mad:

I am considering just doing without home telephone/broadband. (I can always use it at work)!

    What's the objection to 12m BT line rental? Most new broadband contracts will be minimum 12m anyway, so you would need that line rental in place to use them.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    i was quite suprised with bt when i enquired about getting my line switched back £4.99 +line rental for anytime
    add a 12quid broadband and i wont be paying anymore than i did with tiscali a month
