bt ring me then........

well bt rang my mobile today (I placed an order for land line and broadband yeasterday) then i got a txt saying they couldn't make the appointment arranged even though no appointment had been arranged and that I had to call an 0800 number to talk to them before my order could be completed even though its showing a activation date for both on the internet when I "track my order" well i eventually got through and bt don't know what I'm on about really confused

    I have gone back to BT and called on Saturday but my tracking reference id not being recognised on-line. How long does it take normally?
