OP might find they are able to replace the innards entirely to get it working with a conventional fitting and switch.... should be done by someone electrically competent as a snagged/nicked wire or incorrect connection could easily turn it into a deathtrap....0 -

I got a switch put in mine by an electrician who didn't seem to think it was worth replacing the components needed to make it a touch lamp again. Probably would only have lasted until another bulb blew anyway!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
