Sky old cards going off soon!

Looks like they are starting to turn off the old card,I've had that annoying message 7 times in 40minutes.

Thanks but as an ex NTL/VM & Sky engineer,I know what to do,my post was for information.
As I'm between jobs at present (going to work for myself) Sky was binned when I was laid off & I've no intention of buying two cards when I'll probably be resubscribe in a month or two anyway.0 -
I have2 sky boxes i use as freeview as iv still got
my old tv"s,( no freeview no outside Ariel) is there anyway i can carry on using
them when the cards are switched off without buying new cards.

You can use them without a card, you will just lose a few channels, take your card out, you will see what you will get.0 -

You don't use them as freeview as that can only be received through an aerial.
No need for a card to receive all the terrestrial channels plus many more.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
