Thanks but as an ex NTL/VM & Sky engineer,I know what to do,my post was for information.
As I'm between jobs at present (going to work for myself) Sky was binned when I was laid off & I've no intention of buying two cards when I'll probably be resubscribe in a month or two anyway.
  • I have2 sky boxes i use as freeview as iv still got
my old tv"s,( no freeview no outside Ariel) is there anyway i can carry on using
them when the cards are switched off without buying new cards.

You can use them without a card, you will just lose a few channels, take your card out, you will see what you will get.

You don't use them as freeview as that can only be received through an aerial.

No need for a card to receive all the terrestrial channels plus many more.
We all evolve - get on with it
  • Thanks lads what I ment to say was, I use the boxes
    to recieve the tv channels.
