Sky - moving house and upgrading

hi all,

moving house in two weeks time. Currently have Sky+ with sports. I am looking to upgrade in the new house to Sky HD in living room, Sky HD in a cinema room, multiroom and a new dish installed as the house doesn't have one.

Phoned up Sky today and they said a new dish and engineer visit to install everything would be £60. First Sky HD box would be £49, then the second HD box would be £199! the multiroom and HD subscription would be £10 each a month.

Anyone know any way of getting this cheaper or any offers going at the moment. This upgrade is looking costly!

thanks...

You get 1 subsidised HD Box from BIB & that's it!You wont get it cheaper, you might get the install cheaper but I doubt it.
And your phoneline will have to be working when it's installed or the job'll be cancelled

    Read my post.
If he's already booked the housemove, then the surname address is in the system & will show up if he follows your suggestion, meaning if he cancels he'll have to wait 12 months before he can re-sub.

If he's already booked the housemove,

You read his again then read mine

All he said was he phoned up. He never said he gave his new address.

Also him and his wife could have split up and she is moving to the new address and he is moving in with his new bit stuff who already has sky.

He wont get it any cheaper but then,I only worked for Sky for a few years as an engineer....
  • New and existing customers currently pay the same for a new box and any subsequent box with a standard £30 install fee.

The only benefit of subscribing as a new customer, as far as I can see, is getting some cashback through Quidco or Topcashback.

So... Moved in last week and thought I had installation booked, but calling them today, the guy had made a mistake and not booked! Luckily still an installation slot avialable this Saturday... Lucky I called!!

Now reason I called was this new free HD box deal that's going on. I don't qualify due to having booked and paid for mine already, although I haven't had it installed. Second HD box is still £199!!! so much for customer service... I was hoping they could at least do a deal on the second box?!

Any ideas how to get a cheaper second HD box?

Looking at current ASA prices an independent would'nt be able to do the 2nd box cheaper, obviously 1st box would be free now but thats no help.
