Monthly contract termination
Hi there,
I bought a monthly contract for my partner for a blackberry, with orange, through Phones4U, yesterday over the phone. The phone and sim arrived today.
Unfortunately, I didn't double check that international texts were included in the text bundle, and subsequently have found that they cost an extra 20p every time. My partner texts home to Oz a lot and so this would add a lot of costs onto the monthly amount.
I was wondering if anyone could help... Can I cancel the contract? What rights do I have to do this?
Also, is there any other possible route to obtain a monthly deal that contains international texts... as pay as you go... is getting rather expensive for us!!!!
Any help would be much appreciated...

Anything ordered over the phone is covered by the distance selling reg and you have 7 days to change your mind.
Just call them and tell them you've changed you mind and want to return and cancel. I wouldn't mention the int text thing as no network (as far as I know) includes them...0 -
I signed up for a new contract with Orange yesterday and I was advised that all Orange contracts carry a 7 day cooling off period. I assume the same would apply if you got your phone from Phones4U but it's probably worth ringing to check.
Good luck!0
