isnt anyone going to hold them to account??

we moved a few months back. Im always wary of sending stuff off in the post anyway so up until a week ago, I hadnt informed them of my new address.

However, I saw that you can change your address online and they send you a new licence and then you have to send them the old one back in 21 days. So I received the new licence and Ive just had a thorough look at it. The photo card expires in June 2017, even though the old one also expired then (as I passed my test in 2007, although it was August, not June), so I would have thought that they would have given another 10 years on the card??

However, I still havent sent the V5 off, too scared in case they lose it. I also need to send the old licence back and am scared they will lose that too..

Apart from talking about making excuses for not doing what you should have done you are now complaining about not getting a new 10 year licence for free.

    Some people are unbelievable.

My previous reg documents always had the wrong address - a mixture of the true address and another one.

well i have to say that luckily i havent had problems with this and the place we live now has an easy address where as where i lived before, was a flat, in a court, on a road and to top it, at some point the post codes had been changed in the 80s i think, so it always took ages getting the right address on deliveries and documents, it was a nightmare!

Having seen the article on the OP's post, we should all be wary of the DVLA, and keep photocopies of important documents that have to be sent to them, If you drive Anihilator, and you move, or otherwise have to renew your licence, and the DVLA stuff up, the only thing you could drive would be an ox cart at Ogremor.

Perhaps I'm just paranoid, but I take photocopies of any important documents I send to anyone. For one thing, I don't trust the Royal Mail that much.
