Acid - Thats what I am going to suggest. I was watching Bid.tv the other day and apparently there is a device which you plug into any electric socket and it transmits a high pitched noise which no pest or critter likes, that includes mice, cockroaches, spiders etc. Not sure if it works, perhaps someone could comment if they have one!

Hi,
I got some of these from Robert Dyas last year -- and I still got visited by a mouse! I could see where it had been, and it certainly wasnt put off much by the devices. I then put down 3 spring traps, with instant resultOf course, this is not very scientific, but I now wonder how much of a deterrent they really are. Also, they weren't exactly cheap, so I thought I'd give the opposing view on it
hoping you are mouse-free asap.0 -
I have a problem with a squirrel in the attic. I first thought it might be a rat but my neigbour saw a squirrel climb in. Any ideas what to do

I cant understand why anyone would go to the council if they had mice .most years I have one mouse .I generally put a trap down and catch it in a few days . Last year I tried the trap again and poison .It didnt work so I used the glue .I caught 5 imice in 2 days . If I get any more well it will be the glue again .0

Hi, we had a similiar problems with rats and mice, and found they all avoided the traps and poison.
but a friend who has stables recommeded one these plugin devices, it sends out ultrasonic waves to annoy the pest in the room and a high frequency noise round the electric circuit to distrub the pest aswell, plugged ours in, rats/mice gone
