You need to take the cowling off and and replace the switch and put a new button on i suspect its a MOT failure point but not sure, You should be able to pick a replacement switch and cover for peanuts from a scrappy.
Your suspicion is right. It is an MOT failure.
  • Of course it's an MOT failure the car hasn't got working hazzard warning lights! :D

Gotta get that plastic cowling off the steering column and see what's what - the button has obviously worked its way loose and fallen inside. Maybe have a snoop round the internet see if you can download a Haynes manual for a 96 Fiesta that will tell you exactly how to open it up.
  • Had no idea it was a MOT failure. Looks like I'll be busy tomorrow now.

    Thanks for your help.
  • I had a 1995 fiesta and I couldn't find the hazard button for ages cos it had fallen off! They still worked fine, just had to know where they were :)
