NO Nicky, you can't change the date! How many times do people on here have to say that!?!
  • ALRIGHT ALRIGHT CALM DOWN!! only askin isnt that what a forums for!?!?

so glad i got the £1 offer :D
  • Ok, let's clear a few things up.

Having tried for the last 4 sales and been lucky/quick enough to get rooms 2 out of 4 times I can confirm it is not a con. The people at the hotel are lovely too.

I can also say that the first time they checked my name when I checked in but the second time my friend checked in for me, she just gave my name and her credit card and no questions were asked.

And Nicky318 you are very unlikely to find someone to swap a Thursday night for a Friday night, the weekends are like gold dust and always go first.

Congratulations all you lucky people and try the pear cocktail, it's like a party in your mouth!

that is exactly what happened to me!...nothing since, managed to get on once and all £1 seemed to be unavailable  i am a very fast typer and i know if had been able to get on i would have got one!how did people even manage it??

All the people complaining about it being "down" or a scam - if you had time to complain in a post between 1200 and about 1220 you WERE NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH. It's not a scam. Ever heard of a distributed denial of service? Think that countless people can connect to a service at once with no affect at all on that service? What you are seeing is the result of thousands of "hits" at once. Very few requests are served. I've been disappointed more times than not with this offer, but HAVE been twice.

For the record I had three separate browsers refreshing constantly with saved details as an existing customer. I had four times almost booked but completed too slowly even with pre-completion At 12.17 it offered a £29 room to me.

It's simply a mixture of luck and perseverance.
Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.

You said exactly what I thought during the sale after seeing peoples responses, but put it much better than I could have!

The hotel have been quite good with cancelling reservations in these circumstances - give them a call or email them, don't forget to update us how it goes :)
