    got a £1 and £29 room. :)
    Well done

What (if anything) did you do differently to the others here? It would be good to get tips together to help out with the next sale (if there is another sale).
  • Just checked and couldve got my room for £40 elsewhere. 25% off is fine by me and didnt really ever think I had a chance of a £1 room!
  • I could never get beyond the (expired) countdown. The £1 button never came up. Did anyone else have this problem. I was refreshing as advised in previous posts, but still it just took me back to 00.00.00 - does anyone know why? Is that just what it does when it is overloaded? Or was I doing something wrong? Thanks very much. And congrats to those of you who got, and comiserations to those who didn't!
  • where did you find 25% off
  • I managed to get a £29 room, god it was close though! Every other date before my one disappeared on each attempt (got stuck with reservation submittal error a couple of times).

The £1 room, I only got ever got as far as the dropdowns, checkbox and secure logo - heres a tip though - don't do it over wireless! I don't know if it was my frenzied refreshing or just sods law in action but when that counter hit 0, my wireless crapped out - I spent 12-12.01 laptop in arms, hurtling for the router (i literally dived) and ripping the cable out the xbox, all the while turning the air blue (all for £1 for god sakes!).

Of course after that it was mostly "Thank you for your interest" with a sprinkling of black screen of death, the occasional connection error and sometimes even dropdowns (ooooo). No chance.

Well done to those that did get the £1 deal.

where did you find 25% off

I think the poster meant that they could have got the room for £40 elsewhere, so by getting a £29 room they effectively got 25% (ish!) off.

I'd like to know where they found the £40 room? Just looked at my date on the hoxton site and it is now £149!
  • i got the £1 room for the 18th of feb but i got the wrong date i wanted the 19th does any one know if i can change this??? thanks

No, these dates can't be changed unfortunately. I asked the hotel when I had issues with my date the first time I got a room or a £1. If you can't go, sell it or give it to a friend.

They won't let you change it to a £1 room as that would have already sold out. But you can cancel if the date is not good for you. I would email them as they are quite quick to respond.

I did not manage to get a £1 room this time. Was too slow getting a £29 room. Roll on next time :)
