Both pieces of information you have quoted are not relevant to what I posted.
kimmi_b talks about an acekard, which I am not interest in and did not ask about.
custardy incorrectly states the t&c's that are clearly written.
I could offer you some advice, "get your tax return in by 31 January 2010 and make sure your tax is paid too", but is that relevant or useful in this thread? No.
"Only someone with their head stuck firmly up their own backside could fail to see that that is a useful piece of advice. Maybe it didn't firmly address your particular situation but IT IS USEFUL ADVICE."
Why start the insults?0 -
"All these other posts are just from ignorant members, like yourself, who for some reason have chose this thread to try and have a petty little argument over nothing."
Was it not you who started the insults?
And I wasn't upset by your response to my post, just puzzled as to the open hostility in it. Sorry if I offended you by not sticking strictly to the terms of your original question, but as you had commented on the faulty nature of the R4 card, and then made reference to it being a "common fault", I didn't see a problem in making a comment about my experience with Acekards being reliable, indeed more so than the R4.
As you don't yet have a replacement then you could always ask for Acekard instead!
Though if I was your customer service account manager I'd be telling you to claim from Royal Mail as your quibble is with them in the first instance. You are lucky that R4 are willing to replace the item based on Proof of Postage alone! That is good customer service in my book.:A kimmi_b0 -

Your making up your own t&c's for the company now and adding stuff that just isn't there.
They have not said they will replace the card based on proof of postage, even though that is what it does say in their t&c.
I will point you to the actual t&c from the company that I originally posted again.
If the company t&c are wrong, fair enough, they are wrong and need changing, that isn't my problem.
My problem is, I received faulty goods, I followed the t&c to return them, but did not get a replacement and still have not got a replacement.
I am making a claim from RM.
Our opinions on customer service obviously differ too, the webchat person could not even spell, they supplied me faulty goods and did not replace them....
There may have been a certain degree of hostility to your post, because your post was a bit "you shouldn't have done it like that, you should have done it like this" and now there is more hostility as other posters like to post things which are clearly along the lines of "I am right, you are wrong".
This is all getting very childish.
I followed the company t&c, returned the item, did not receive a replacement.
I asked for advice on what to do, which I gratefully received.
I did not ask what you think the weather is going to be like next week or who you think killed Archie Mitchell.0 -
what archie mitchell's dead - oh burger..... haha
ok, the T&C's could be better worded
in truth if a person sends something through the post and obtains a proof of posting, then the onus is that person to make the claim with RM, should the item disapear - which you have done.
i am sure that if RD try to make the claim with RM on your behalf, then RD will be told (by RM) to pass it back to you to claim (at least thats what happened to me when i had a similar situation)
it wouldnt be the first time that someone on the customer service desk gave the wrong information or impression to a customersmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I'm not making up their T&C's - it clearly states in the webchat that you posted that they are going to send you a replacement based on you sending them proof of postage!!!! You posted that, not me, so how am I making it up?!
I give up, I have not been insulting - you have. I have not been childish - you have.:A kimmi_b0 -
^ Yes and if you read it all, including the second chat, it says that they can't send a replacement only with proof of postage, they will only send a replacement when they receive the item I returned!!!!!! :wall:
I didn't want or need advice about their CS, it is clearly sh8t, I just wanted advice on how I would go about making some sort of claim be that through paypal or RM.
I got the advice, used it, end of story!
Why are you still going on about this??!0 -
:doh:Also, a webchat is not their t&c's.
"I give up, I have not been insulting - you have. I have not been childish - you have."
That sentence alone is childish.
I have not directly insulted anybody, only defended myself from people that have made direct comments to and about me.0
