Richard: Welcome to Live Chat. How can we help?
you: Hi, I am writing with regard to order no 173478. I spoke to you yesterday about it. I emailed the proof of postage, but as yet nobody has got back to me?
Richard: please chech the order number
you: Order Number: 1738478
Richard: this has not been returned as yet
you: Yes, I went through all of that yesterday with you. You asked me to email proof of postage, which I did.
Richard: sorry we cannot replace this untill the other is received
you: Your t&c specifically say that you require proof of postage, which I have provided you with. Why did you bother to ask me to send the proof of postage yesterday, only to fob me off today?
Richard: no this is just so if the parcel is not received we have proof of posting for the item
you: yes, but of what use is that to me and me getting my replacement card?!
Richard: as soon as we receive yours it will be replaced for you
you: & what if you don't receive it? it has been 15 days since I posted it. if it has gone missing then that is royal mails fault, not mine. i followed your t&c for returning the faulty goods you supplied me and all i want is a replacement to be sent asap
Richard: if this is not received we check with royal mail with the proof of posting and they right this off and we replace the item for you
you: can you tell me when I will receive a replacement? you have the proof of postage which I emailed yesterday.
Richard: this will be in the next couple days for you
you: ok thanks, I will wait a couple of days. But to be fair, I have done everything I possibly can, I received faulty goods and sent them back as advised by your customer services and your t&c's. if I don't receive a replacement soon, I will take my complaint further.
Richard: Thank you for using our Live Chat, if you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

They are useless and I will be chasing this up...0

kimmi_b - This is not the praise & vent board, and I have copied the live chat conversations just to show how bad r4 customer service is, which I may post to that board.
I also did not ask for your opinion on using and paying for RD, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Of course if I had of known that r4i would be like this I would have paid and sent it RD.
The t&c do not clearly state use RD, I have posted the t&c but I suggest you read this point again:
"Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post without proof of postage. We advise all customers to use recorded delivery where possible."
This clearly states that all they need is proof of postage, RD is only an advisory point it does not say you have to use it.
I will certainly not be using them again, and would advise other people not to use them either.
This obviously is not a one off, (supplying faulty cards), as they even have a section on their website about it.
The good and bad points of R4 cards vs Acekard are not relevant in this either, most people rate R4 as more reliable, but yet again they are only reliable as the source you get them from.
no it tells you to get a proof of postage, then you are covered via rm's standard cover
you will ifnd with most companies if they dont receive an item back it will take time for them to do anything0 -

Sorry, but you too seem not to have read the t&c's that I copied from the companies website.
It actually says:
"Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post without proof of postage"
This implies that they can accept some sort of responsibility if you have proof of postage, simply by the wording of the text. (cannot without, implies can with)
It doesn't say anything about rm's standard cover, it doesn't tell you to get proof of postage, it only says what it says, clearly different people interpret this in different ways.
However, the fact is I have done everything that the t&c required, the company supplied me with faulty goods, I returned them as requested, and they have not replaced them.
I don't want to get into any arguments about this, or sound rude to anybody, but this is now two people who have decided to post their opinion on what they think about my situation, rather than post anything relevant or useful.0 -
Why haven't you claimed from Royal Mail ? The company sound rubbish, so bang in a claim with RM if it's been over 15 working days (I think this is the period for claiming).0

You clearly do want to get into an argument. I read both kimmi_b and custardy's posts as trying to be helpful. With a poor attitude like you are displaying, I would be surprised if others want to assist you.0 -

When people have made pointless, irrelevant or provocative posts, I have only replied in the same manner which has been posted towards myself.
I made my original post very clear, so why people have chosen to reply with their opinions and really being no help at all, seems pointless to me.
Please show me where either kimmi_b or custardy posted any relevant or useful advice?
It is not a poor attitude that I am displaying, only a disgruntled attitude towards people that choose to post irrelevant stuff on other peoples threads.
In fact, if anything I have been polite in giving a reply when people have clearly not bothered to read or understand my original post.
I also thanked the two people who posted useful advice.0 -

May i suggest you don't post on an open forum them.
If you can PM exactly what you want me to say as this seems to be the only opinion you care about.0 -

Another one.
I have never said that people cannot post what they like, but if they are going to get upset when I correct them when they have posted incorrect information, then are they not the ones who should not post on an open forum?
Please explain how me PM you exactly what to say would provide me with any advice on what to do in my situation? What a stupid comment. I really do not know why you would waste your time posting such nonsense.
If you read the thread, I followed the advice given and got the form to make a claim from RM, problem solved.
All these other posts are just from ignorant members, like yourself, who for some reason have chose this thread to try and have a petty little argument over nothing.0 -

kimmy_b posted: "I'd try an Acekard if you ever have reason to purchase again - they are really good."
Only someone with their head stuck firmly up their own backside could fail to see that that is a useful piece of advice. Maybe it didn't firmly address your particular situation but IT IS USEFUL ADVICE.

I would suggest you take both PIECES OF ADVICE in the spirit they were offered and get down off your high horse.0
