It's almost like a prime evil urge that comes across you when its your child isn't it.

Well I hope the HOY managed to put your mind at rest a bit about it all - is DS ok about it now?

As for the options thing - I'm shocked at how little DD1's school are offering this year.....I think we've sussed out what she wants to do but she has to provide documentary evidence as to why she's picking each subject and link it to her choice of career....hard going when you're 14.

Spud, sounds like you did the right thing, my parents wouldn't get involved with school stuff like that, unless it got really bad. We weren't allowed to get primary school shirts signed, the school said they looked messy :( God knows why we listened, it was our last day afterall, what could they do to us?!

I should go to bed, but the coffee I had at 5.30's still working... might do a bit more tidying and then read for a bit.

Ames, I'm not a big one for stomping off to the school (despite how it appears here). I'm a firm believer in them being independent and sorting out their own issues where possible. Just sometimes though, I have to step in because I cant bear them being hurt/unhappy :o

    That's exactly it Pooky.

I'll see what she says to him tomorrow. I am totally embarrassed about blubbig, and pray I never have to actually meet her. He's OK, gone from upset to annoyed. He actually heard she was looking for him this afternoon, and avoided her :rotfl: At least he knows now why she wants him

We have to tick boxes ont he options choice sheet Pooky. No evidence or anything like that. They were told to choose a broad range of subjects, so they can keep options open re a career.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Blimey Pooky, all we had to do was tick a box for our options! Even A levels weren't that interested in the whys and wherefores! Or uni, for that matter.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
