Whenever I've had a new kitchen fitted, the installers have always constructed a cupboard to house my boiler as the standard size units are not suitable. I'm surprised the kitchen fitters haven't suggested this to you as an option to save having the boiler moved.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Either that or the OP gave him a lazy spec. "Will it do just here? Yep- that'll be fine". There are two sides to every story you know.

Quite - and the laziness is definitely with the respondent. That may be a lazy question - but from a lay person - and certainly is not a professional answer.

How can a professional spec be constructed in such circumstances? This fitter should move the boiler, free of charge, no question.

No wonder they get such a rotten name, especially if folks stand up for such behaviour.

That suggestion is absurd, especially since the OP did not even say if the installer was aware that he was fitting a new kitchen.
If you asked a builder to build you a new garage, and you failed to provide him with a plan, but just said, 'yeah, just put it a couple of feet to the left of the house', would you expect him to move it because it was then 6 inches from where you would have ideally liked it?
Presumably the OP was not present when the boiler was mounted up, so the installer used his best judgement in the absence of any proper instructions. No comeback whatsoever.

Yes the laziness was with the respondent exactly as you say - the client who, in my example says "that'll do just fine".

Do you not have the wit to realise it was the installer saying "will it do just here?"?

What abject nonsense! And what on earth are you peddling this stuff for anyway when the OP has even come back yet to say whether or not there was a spec, plans etc. Did you miss my post above your first one?
