Cancel BT, go to Sky will BT Vision still work?

Hi All

Hope someone can help.....

I am considering leaving BT and going to Sky for Broadband & Sky unlimited phone package (will keep BT line) I have requested my Mac code. I currently have BT Vision, I have been told by BT that once I cut off thier broadband supply and go over to Sky Broadband, I will no longer have the BT Vision, can someone confirm or deny this please. I do like my BT vision, and if I lost it I'd be annoyed but would get over it, just want to know if that info is correct.

Thanks in advance

ps When I change over can I keep my @btinternet.com email address?

That's correct - you need BT BB to have BT Vision.

No, you would have a @sky.com address.

Please set up an email address not related to your Internet provider - you can keep that email address forever and not have to change it whenever you move ISP.

You keep the BT email address (primary) as long as you use it once every 30 days or something.

    Hi Moneysawy35,

Just to clarify, if you are moving provider and wish to retain your btinternet email address then you need to sign up to premium mail which costs £1.50 per month. Check out this link https://www.bt.com/premiummail

    Cheers

If you go to Sky for broadband then you have to take a Sky tv package,
would you want both, BT Vision and Sky TV ?
  • Hi

I already have Sky in my living room, but use the BT vision in my bedroom, so at the moment I am using both, and would like to continue using both. I could get Sky in the bedroom but don't want to pay anymore money a month, at the moment its £30 installation, and then extra £10 a month. My vision box was and is still free.

Seems like I'll have to do without once I switch over :(

Will you not be saving more than that £10 per month once you switch?
