Porting number cf > virgin > vf - how quick?

Hi All

I am currently with vodafone and have my pac code. I though want a N900 but its just with vodafone. I want to go through mpd as there contracts are better than vodafones.

So, I was thinking - as I have a virgin sim just arrived, I'll port to them, and then after its ported port out again using the excuse poor reception where I am .

Has anyone done it, and if so, how quickly do you rekon it can be done?

Up to 7 working days to get your pac each time, plus the actual time to do the port (3 days say). Plus you also need to know if Virgin have a minimum time you have to be with them before you can request your pac again ?

You might want to get a free Orange payg sim. The Orange rep on here a while ago said you could port in, in the morning and request your pac in the afternoon !
