Potentially an idiotic question so please be gentle with me
I can be a bit technologically incompetent so please bare with me -
I was wondering if it is possible to unlock a US mobile phone that is locked to a US network for use in the UK with a UK network simcard?
The phone in question is a LG Lotus which is locked to the Sprint network.
I just really like the look of this phone and theres nothing similar on the UK market that I can find.
Maybe its a stupid question but I haven't been able to find out any info about unlocking US phones for UK use so I'm taking it to mean that isn't possible

You need to check which radio bands the phone uses - US 3G and 2G systems aren't the same as ours.
The Lotus looks like it only has a US-spec 3G chipset (CDMA 950 and 1900) so you wouldn't be able to use it here:
