The time format in the forum is currently 12 hour. Can this be changed to 24 hour time?

Most electronic devices have 24hour format. The BBC Weather switched to 12 hour format (briefly) but now uses 24hr again.Why? Give 'em a good reason and they may do so?
It's possible to set time zones and automatic daylight saving; surely vBulletin allows for 24 hour time!0 -
If it's afternoon just add 12 on to the hour number. It's really easy.0
