Sky+ Issues Different Channels, Different Problems

Hi,
This problem has just started since the snow, but not sure if it is a signal problem caused by the snow - - i or a box issue.
Alll the Sky and Virgin channels work, but every 30 seconds or so the the channel freezes and then its like it skips the portion and the resumes and it starts over again.
Now the interesting part is the BBC Channels, ITV and 4 channels all work perfectly.
Does anybody know if the channels are broadcast from different satalites or are they all broadcast from the same one and therefore the issue is with our box and not the signal.

It's probably a box issue. The subscription channels are encrypted and scrablmed. But I assume the free to air channels aren't. The freezing might be a problem with decrypting the content.0

It may be a card/card reader fault by the sound of things, take your card out and wipe the gold coloured chip with a dry tissue, see if that helps.0
