I hear that the Feltham young offenders institution has improved quite a bit recently :D

    Are you implying anything here?

Feltham young offenders institution is not far from my college either! :p

i had a similar problem with a copied dvd of my favourite band....i paid by postal order as well..... i emailed the guy and told him i wanted a full refund.. and that i would then i would post the dvd back... and that if i did not have a full refund i would report him to trading standards....after a while and a few heated emails he did refund me......i also had to give him a dead line date to when i wanted the money back.... and for him to return my emails..as hi did not in the begining.......so maybe an email mentioning trading standards will do the trick.......

Out of 26 feedback, the seller has four cancelled by mutual agreement, which leads me to believe that he has had four buyers who were not happy and asked for their money back.

I would do the same and then I'd report him to the manufacturer.

Well, lazy, in between the pop video channels, and the c-list celebrity channels, and the garden/car/people makeover programmes, there are these things called "News Bulletins".

Just recently, Feltham has made an appearance on a few of these.

It's full up with people who think that sorting out an argument with an item of sporting equipment is a good idea.

And yes, I did assume you were joking.

the guy has said he will give me a refund when i send the club back of postage 1 way plus the price of the club

he says that ebay's returns policy is that the goods must be returned within seven days and then he will issue a refund his returns policy on the listing states just that returns within 7 days
does anyone know where i stand

he said he will not accept anything other than a postal return yet i only live 1 hour away

    does anyone know my rights

It sounds like he's twitchy about proof of posting. In fact it's in YOUR interests to post the item back, by a trackable means, otherwise he could technically pretend he'd never had it back, and you wouldn't be able to prove otherwise.

Ebay don't have a policy on returns, as far as I know. The seven days is his own policy, but it's probably best you comply with it.

Edit: Hang on... just re-read OP - no paypal? Then either he's super paranoid, or being awkward.
Edit 2: Although possibly he doesn't like buyers turning up to his house / premises. That's not unreasonable.
