Need some help wth BT and 10MB Broadband dilemma

I moved house in May 2009 and had to use BT as a Phone and Internet service provider (my new house was wired for BT) I had been a Virgin customer and its predecessor) for more than 7 years. I made enquiry of BT for Broadband service, and was asked what sort of user I was. told the Advisor that I was a casual user, (i.e. a bt of FB, check my account, pay bills etc). I also advised that beng at Uni, I needed internet access for my studies, and also for my son, who was then in Yr 8 at school. was then told that dd not need Unlimited Broadband, and that 10MB per month would be more than enough for my type of internet usage. I proceeded to order the 10MB internet and the telephone service as a package. I was gven a date for installation, which was changed and rechanged (I was even sent to BT Home Hub device in error), and was messed about so much, but had no choice but to wait as no other provider could deliver the service I needed. Suffice to say that I never had any working service from BT till late June 2009.

I had signed up to pay my bills quarterly, and so when I got my frst bill in September 2009, BT told me that I had gone over by 75GB for that quarter. I was really upset about this, and after much to-ing and fro-ing with differt teams, technical dept puttng me to billing, and vice versa, I paid the bill as accordng to BT I did not have my internet line secure and someone may have piggy-backed on my service and made my usage go over. I asked a friend, to come and secure the service, whihc was done. On or about 16th December, can't remember the date exactly, BT went into my account, I pay by DD and took £218 for phone and broadband usage (without sendng me a bill - they sad they did on 2nd Dec., I know they didn't, since bills don't come out tll the end of December)- when I queried this, I was told again that someone was 'piggy-backng' on my broadband). I cancelled my direct debit and threatened to leave, but had to stay since both Virgin and Sky need me to have BT frst in order to be able to provide me with a service. I have today 12/01/201 received a bill for £163.67 plus £78.02 as a balance from my prevous bill (how can I have a balance, when they were the ones who billed me £218.70 n December 2009 and took the money by DD? Up to Jan 6 BT is stating that have gone over by 57GB.

I need some help here please, since I have no intentions of 'just rolling over and allowing BT to take my hard earned money anymore. THEY WILL HAE TO TAKE ME TO COURT, BECAUSE I WILL NOT JUST PAY THIS BILL, WITHOUT A BREAKDOWN OF MY BROADBAND USAGE. THEY HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY, SO THEY CAN DO IT.

Have you established that your wireless connection is now secure, using WPA and not something inadequate like WEP?
