i get £409 p/m i.b, £132 child benefit and £189 tax credits. Is there anything he can claim? Would it benefit us more if i come off i.b. and claimed something else??? I honestly dont have a clue about benefits. He has another 2weeks before they let him go and i cant get hold of citizens advice. He's talking about us splitting up as he doesnt wanna see me and the little one's going without
please help, thanks.

You seem to be doing very well for someone who doesn't know anything about benefits!
Very noble of your husband to consider !!!!!!ing off so other people can support his family!0 -

He needs to claim JSA (jobseekers allowance) my honest opinion do not come off IB, inform tax credits of the situation, and apply for HB (housing benefit) and CTB (council tax benefit).i get £409 p/m i.b, £132 child benefit and £189 tax credits. Although things seem dire at the moment, you will come through this tell him I said he better stay put! Life as a single parent on benefits ain't as cushy as it's made out to be. Good luck.*SIGH*

It took me ages to realise what DH etc meant - it would make more sense to me if it was just H. Why is there a D in front?0
