Airtime credit???

I disconnected my line (O2/cpw) and had to send in writing.
I got a pay as you go sim card with £10 airtime credit which I paid by visa card on the phone.
Got my sim and top up card, how do i put the money on? Followed instructions but i dont think they put the money on.
Called 2 numbers CS ... didnt help
