Blackberry Help!

I am thinking of getting an unlocked Blackberry for my birthday in February. I've never used internet on my mobile before, I don't make many calls and I tend to text. I want internet so I can get important e-mails straight away and I would also like to be able to browse.

I currently have an old Nokia and only pay £10 a month O2 Simplicity. I'm not keen on a long contract.

Anyone know what the cheaoest way to run a Blackberry is? Any way to do it on £15 a month or am I asking the impossible? I can't understand the deals online with regards to unlimited web use and Blackberry. I think Orange looks good, but I don't know? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, so do you then PAYG for what you use in terms of internet on top of that £5? I really am struggling to understand the Orange Website with all this Dolphin and Racoon business!

What does this £5 give you. just unlimited email ? Or also unlimited data ? How much extra does unlimited data cost on PAYG ?

  • Hi,

I hope the below link helps.

The phone is out of stock at the moment, but if you select 'see terms' and then 'pay as you go' from the plans and bundles section and then finally 'PAYG BlackBerry Internet Service'.

Thanks for this. I didnt realise that the £5/month only gave you 50MB. I think I will stick with 3 PAYG.

    i got bold 9700 , recently
i wouldnt recomend it first for the price , and secondly .. they not that clever phones.
Not thick at all and used to new technology but hell, i ve had it 17 days now and i have had to study to get used to it.
then it developed a fault which i tried hard through forums , and yesterday it went totally black with the so famous ''reload software 507'' error..... meaning my phone need reloading software.
To do that though you need to be more than average computer user!
not a typical, of load- unload story.
Gave up and been fighting over the phone with 3 network as they want to collect and fix and i want a new one as it hasnt passed 28 days since i bought it.
Tomorrow they collecting this and giving me a new one-- im selling it straightaway and stick to a happygolucky nokia . cheerful, stronger, far too easy too use , and does emails on the go instantly no problem
