New Isp

Just cancelled Tiscali or should i say requested a MAC code so im now looking for a new Isp.

Ive seen a good deal with Bt here:

http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=28783&s_cid=con_FURL_tiscalioffer#BTTBOpt1

and thinking about it. I no longer use the broadband at my parents that much just a few work emails and my mum uses it once a week for nosing at the net for about half an hour so this seems ok.

However when the go travelling in 6 months time i was thinking of Hooking the xbox to xbox live and using their house as a lads pad lol! So how many hours gaming does 10gb give me?

Also does anyone know once ive found a new provider how i swap my emails over and arrange for them to be redirected?
Thanks

For email you would be best advised to get a net mail account, googlemail for example.
Get this up and running before you leave and advise your contacts.
10Gb is good for casual surfing and the occasional use of the BBC iPlayer, I suspect Xbox online would rapidly eat up the bandwidth.
When you cancel your Tiscali account you will probably be able to receive your old emails but not send them.

Are you aware of what Talk Talk is offering you yet, their essentilas package is only £6.99 + line rental for 8Mbps/40Gb.

Keep an eye on your Tiscali account. I too migrated on 17th December and have accessed my Tiscali account area a few times since checking to see if I was going to get some kind of refund from the last bill which was paid in full.

Today I've logged in and discovered they've now billed me for the whole of January too!

After years of trouble-free Tiscali we are now dealing with Talk Talk who are completely useless. During the migration process I had letters telling me my Tiscali broadband service had been successfully transferred from an address I lived at years ago to my current address, and another saying they were sorry to hear I wished to leave Pipex!
