ORANGE-No respect for loyal customers

  • Sure does :-) Orange could not give a To** about my custom and the attitude from the staff is so horrendous. I almost feel embarrassed to be spoken to that way
  • Orange delivered to a wrong address on their file so clearly it makes it there fault, anyway not going to argue that point again.

Orange delivered to a wrong address on their file

No, they delivered it to the address they had on file. Orange don't keep "wrong" addresses on file. The issue is that you didn't change the address to the one you wanted (or rather they failed to do it when you verbally asked them).

    edit

before accepting the retentions deal did you ask what your address was on file to double check ?
isn't using your address part of the security process for any interaction with orange ?

  • if I contacted them twice in the previous 2 months and asked them to insure the correct address was used and then they fail to use it.. how exactly is that not thier mistake?? They did not say to me you need to put it in writing OR although were listening to you we may not bother???

I cannot remember whether they asked about the address but naturally if they had they would have quoted my OWN address not my parents otherwise the flag would have been raised then??

Are you going to request your PAC from them and leave now?

I've replied on the other thread in Orange Retention Offers, but did you actually ask them to check the address seeing as though you've had problems with changing it in the past? If it was me I'd be checking and double checking to make sure before any delivery was attempted.

What do you actually want Orange to do for you? They have tried to rectify it and your having none of it from them. They can't do much apart from offer the cost in return postage or ask your Mum to send it to you and I'm pretty sure they'd pay for that too.
  • Sorry probably shouldnt have posted in two places but wanted to have a vent and then thought it was a good fyi for those considering retentions

In reality, it did not even cross my mind but then when you add in a million other contracts ie gas/elec/council tax/landline/bb/insurance etc etc then add jobs, two children, snow and general life.. no i think I must have forgot to ask, perhaps i relied on being reassured in two seperate phonecalls that there was no need to consider that they might send it to another address. Also if like you said, protocol was followed then they would have repeated my home address.. otherwise I obviously would have said something.. If all I had to worry about was Orange, sure it may have crossed my mind but it isnt, i am human and I was not the one who was sending something Orange were

What do i want from orange, you make it sound like im taking the lend? They have tried to rectify it? By what telling me my mother who is temporarily disabled has to take it to a post office and pay to send back a phone and then wait to be reimbursed by my? Oh and she must do it within 7 days. Sorry if thats me "having none of it"

What i wanted and should be allowed to expect is a decent manner, a genuine apology and perhaps more than one way of solving a problem. After all i am the one who called up twice and rectified the address, i am the one who waited in all day today for a phone that was never going to arrive and then had the pleasure of being spoken to like a tw*t.

This is a VENT section and I just wanted to vent, typically i know I will not get any of the above from Orange, only polite when in the right thats their moto

You have a cooling off period with orange which is no questions asked. Just ring and cancel and look at another network!

But then don't they need to send the phone back asap? The way I have read it that is one of the major problems the fact that they do not have the phone as it was delivered to their mother who is house bound at the moment.
