We bought one of these for my son at xmas for the £100 deal.
I have a tytn II WM6.5 and I'm seriously impressed with the pulse. It runs Android 1.5 so is a little behind the curve on that front but means it can get even better!
Apps are excellent and many free. It is tempting to switch over as its a very competent phone with great features and apps and with WM7 rumoured not to be out until November at the earliest. Think I'll try to resist for now until a new deal comes out at least ;-)
It is an unbelievable phone for the money. What does the Nexus One do that this doesn't? Is it really worth the x4 price tag?

I guess the hardware is improved on the Nexus One (1ghz processor, more RAM, I think - not sure what else. both have an accelerometer and other bits and pieces iirc). Nexus One also has an OLED screen I think. Haven't seen it in action but you cant beat an OLED screen ;) The Nexus One is probably the best HTC device out this year - saw their preview brochure online that listed their devices being launched (may have just been for first half of 2010) but the HTC device the Nexus One is based on seemed to be the best specced of the lot.

Personally I see the Pulse as a good starting point, then worth checking other devices out when contract expiry comes about (not worth getting on a contract due to low cost, unless you're a low spender). Qualcomm supposedly releasing a dual core 1.3ghz (or 1.6ghz?) processor this year to go into mobile phones, would imagine that could mean some powerful stuff being released towards the end of 2010.
    matched betting: £879.63

It was a 1 day promotion on t-mobile for payg handsets.
It was on HotUKDeals.com, but was over very quickly.

Indeed its true the Nexus One does have the Snapdragon 1Ghz processor, but unless you run apps that use that much power, its no better than 500Mhz. Mind you, with Google Nav and google speech input, the demands are increasing rapidly.
From my experience with the Pulse, it handles everything I throw at it with ease. OLED is apparently very bright and crisp, not to mention power saving, but not very good in sunlight.
1.3Ghz dual - wow, thats nearly as good as my desktop!
