You will need to upload it to a website like photobucket and then link to it.

Reduce the size of your picture before uploading i.e. don't upload a 6M pixel picture!
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

use Imageshack, and check the little box and select an appropriate size (800x600 would do most things), it resizes for you. Then on the forum post the pic by copying the 'direct link' imageshack gives you, and code [*img]paste 'direct link here'[/*img]

<without the '*' will put the pic in the post :)

I am quite lost now, "the direct link is grey in". I have copied and pasted but I have not done it properly. How do I do it like yours when I clicked on your link, i takes me to Imageshack website.

I think I have done it. Thanks for all your help. I need to reposition my blanking plate and I had posted previously in the forum but it might help if members who can help acutally see what I mean in the photos. As you can see in the photos, the blanking plate has moved and I need to reposition it in place. It's a Dell Dimension 5150, and I need to know whether if I only remove the cover I could fix. So far I have not even managed to do that, I just cannot undo the screws, I must be thick. Please be gentle with me I am am a newbie and oldie. Thanks

See the section on removing the drive panel (you'll have to remove the computer cover first). You should then be able to reposition the wonky drive-panel insert.

According to that guide the computer cover isn't screwed on - you just release the latch and it hinges off from the bottom.

I cant remember if they screw in to place or notI know some do. if that is the case then sommthing is broken.

The easiest was to find out is remove the whole front panel of the pc and have a look and you should be able to put it back in place.

Some dells also have the option to just remove the surround rather than the whole front of the pc. to do this remove the side of the pc once its open there is a peice of plastic on the side of the drive bays green normally slide it towards the bottom of the case that releases the panel tilt it forward from the side near the side you have removed and lift it out of the front of the case you should now have access to see how it goes back in. normally its easier to remove the blanking plate then put it back in from scratch.

Im going to be installing one of these i the next few days for a customer if it turns up if you dont have it sorted by then I will take some photos to demonstrate how to do it.

Little John, please I would be grateful if you could take some photos to demonstrate how to do it. It's a Dell Dimension 5150, I have been trying to open it, and am a bit afraid in case I mess things up. Thanks a lot for all your help and thanks to all of you I now know how to upload a picture to post in the forum.
