Possible new CLC Scam

Had a call from Paul from CLC today - I've won a 7 night 5* holiday overseas. It's for accomodation only, so I will have to pay flights etc. He told me I'd filled in a surcey on Vouch4me.com ( I don't remember doing this). He informed me that CLC has been running for 28 years and has 23 resorts. I can chose from these resorst in Spain, Tenerife or Turkey. I would also have to pay £19 / head booking.
He quickly narrowed me down to departures in June and offered me Club Monteray or Sunningdale Village in Tenerife. So I should go quickly and try and find some flights. Feeling suspicious, I said I didn;t think we could afford flights etc this year - so he has now offered me 4 nights accomodation in a Spa Hotel in Cornwall (trenython.co.uk) In a 5* lodge.
He confirmed that I wouldn't need to eat on site, and wouldn't need to do anything when I got there, they would leave me alone in our accomodation - whether I chose abroad or UK.

He's calling back tomorrow - now I know what I'm saying!!

I have never in my life seen a genuine competition where any of the prizes have "admin fees" , so if they do, its a great big scam.

Its quite simple to determine if you have won a holiday, you get a lovely congratulations package, flight tickets (return flights), a specific hotel at a specific location for a specific date. No admin fee, No choices of dates or locations and no "come and collect your tickets".

Anything else from "a choice of........" to "for a small fee........." you can count on it being a scam. Just ask them "will it effect my unemployment benefits?" and see how quickly they hang up :D

Funny thing is I used to work there and don't know where you got your info from as they HAVE been up and running for 26 years now. My gf has worked there for about seven. I used to sell them 29.50 holidays.that includes 7 nights accommodation and flights.all they ask is that you go to attend a presentation whete..yes...they try to sell you timeshare.. Big deal... Unless you are a very weak minded person you just say no then go on your holiday and have a great time

You really missed out by not taking the offer as theyre great resorts and you even get 50pounds of shopping vouchers for attending the presentation

Very true...thing is you haven't been told you have won anything in this instance...do pretty unsure where your getting this from? It is a promotional offer not a prize..

ok..those hundreds of customers i spoke to giving good feedback about their holiday must of all been making it up then:) and i have no idea how a scam company could have been going for 26 years and send over 250,000 people on holiday every year:rotfl:

people are made fully aware of everything that is payable on both the promotional holiday and timeshare, so if they take it up unaware then they have only themselves to blame.

I have even been to one of their resorts myself and can say they are fantastic, but people these days are sheep, they hear the word timeshare and go running

Good for you, when it comes to a scam in general, who cares how many Years they have been getting away with it, those hundreds of people you HAVE spoken to, I fear are all in your head. Best to be the sheep than the Wolf in sheeps clothing.

As already said (Maybe your lack of memory is hindering you severely), this SCAM has already been discussed, EXPOSED and clarified. please refrain from talking out of your rear end, as each and every sigh you make is leaving quite a nasty stench.
