t-mobile reception problems

i have a t-mobile contract and when i got it originally it was fine but recently the signal has gotten so bad that i can only make a phone call upsatirs as long as i stand in one spot, downstairs nothing.
i have phoned t-mobile and they have said 'according to the system you have a good signal there' but still nothing.

my contarct doesn't expire until may and i basically pay £45 per month on a contract i can't use in my own house.

it there anything i can do, i have phoned and they are dropping my tarrif by £5 but even this isn't that much to have to contend with until may. can anyone help in anyway???

thanks.

Phone service is not guaranteed inside the house, does it work okay outside?

My girlfriend has to keep her phone on a bookshelf in her bedroom for signal, due to stone walls and living in a village.

The fact your signal has dropped and not returned yet should mean T-mobile should sent out an engineer to investigate, however as there is still some signal in the house i doubt they will do anything as it would be the house blocking the signal, which is not something they can change.

Have a word with consumer direct about it.

my t mobile signal has become poor recently

It appears that they have upgraded a nearby mast to 3G and the phone picks the poor 3G signal in preference to my much nearer and stronger 2g one

Switching 3G off on the phone has restored my good signal
