why does my internet cut off?

ok just swapped over internet services providers, now im with talktalk. everything is going fine, however i notice when i leave my pc and go do something when i return the internet has cut off. If im on my pc and doing something like surfing the net i can be on for a hour or 2 and its o, but as soon as i move away and…

If using Vista then go to Network and Sharing Centre
Click on Computers and Devices
Right click on your modem and click on View Device Webpage
Now look on left hand side and click on ADSL Internet Settings
Click on ISP settings and look down the list for "Connect Type" change this to "Always connected"
