Hi, i have won and paid (via paypal) for a phone on ebay. Had good communication form the seller and was expecting the phone today or tomorrow. Then today I've had an email from ebay saying the seller is no longer registered, do not pay and do not try and contact him? So I've filed a dispute on paypal (is this the right thing to do?), which has been escalated to a claim - now what?
Will I get back my money? Item no: 9150213703
Worried sick now!

The item has been removed by ebay so that doesn't help. How about the seller ID?
You've done the right thing by filing a claim. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

baran_114 is the seller. I just don't understand it, he's got decent feedback -fair enough not a lot of it but it's recent and for smilar priced stuff. He's also communicated well. I'm still half expecting the phone to turn up..0 -
There is a possability that your phone might turn up and the seller has been suspended for a minor thing and will return. Here is a link to a similar thing were the buyer was suspended.
Since he has good feedback I would suggest doing two things first- one send a message through the page on which you purcased the item -where it says contact seller. As the seller will recieve this. Second track the email address that you paid through paypal on your paypal reciept, you know where in paypal it tells you who you have sent the payment too. I would then email the seller directily through this email address and see if they reply.
With good feedback its in the sellers best intereasts to have the account reactivated.0 -
I'm unimpressed by the seller's feedback.
Since October '05 he only has feedback for 5 sales. All of those have subsequently listings been removed by ebay, like yours. One of those 5 buyers has also been kicked off by ebay.

the listings were all still there when I bid on the item though - there were also similar items just been sold with positive feedback......

Were they all phones?
I'm thinking hijack... or shiller.
I see he's bought an ipod with his profits.
I know things may have looked different when you bid - I'm not criticising you for not seeing a problem - but based on what is showing up now, I would NOT count on the seller to help you.
Was there any unusual activity when you paid, such as insisting you paid to an email address, rather than through checkout? My TV is broken!

I've tried this number but all that happens is I move from one menu to another. Does anyone know another more direct number for paypal?0 -
I have had the same thing happen, and the seller turned out to be genuine and still sent the item. He said ebay had cocked up by closing his account. I suppose it can happen genuinley when ebay are a law unto themselves!
