XILO Broadband

Anyone any experience of this one? Currently use Zen (Lite). Not had any problems, but we've started using BBC iPlayer a bit and are having to purchase additional download allowance every month. Also planning to make use of a Sipgate VOIP account I have set up. XILO get a high rating on ispreview.co.uk, but I had never heard of them before.

Never heard of them either. XILO Broadband is on the Resellers and Other Providers on the Thinkbroadband forum.

Xilo are fine as long as you can get them via LLU, otherwise it works out quite expensive, you can view all of their packages here -

Check to see if you can get them via LLU here -

If your exchange has an LLU presence via either C&W or Tiscali then you will be able to get Xilo using LLU.

It was their LLU offering that I was after, and yes we can get that here. Are there any disadvantages to LLU, compared with BT?

None to worry about, it could cost you a fee if you ever decide to go back to BT ipstream.

LLU is considered superior to ipstream in almost all cases, and is almost certainly cheaper, so I doubt you'd ever want to change back.
