  • Try www.holidayautos.co.uk unsure what they are like, but I have a discount code that may help to lower the cost:

Car rental with no hidden extras at over 4,000 locations worldwide. Get a massive 10% discount(prices shown include discount) enter Perkz website or call 0871 472 5172 & quote xperkz.

Unsure if you'll be able to access it like this with the discount included, as a log on: http://www.holidayautos.co.uk/cgi-bin/liveweb.sh/QSearch.w?ctryref=GBR&lang=EN&aff=xperkz

Winter tyres are also mandatory in Germany, for hire cars at least, from Dec-Feb inclusive. I was in Bremen last year and the guy in front of me got charged 7 Euros/day for them but I didn't. Booked mine through E Bookers
  • You 100% certain? So if I order a car, it will come as standard?!

99%, it will have winter tyres but you will have to pay a supplement, think I just got lucky. Found this thread on Honest John, it's 2 years old now but wouldn't expect the law to have gone back to std tyres, sems to pretty much cover your scenario. Post 6 by Zub quotes the "law".
