  • Sorry if it is not ok to post this. My boyfriend has developed a website that is a new spin on budget planning. I have been testing it for months and it helped me save money. He is making it into an iphone app. Would moneysavingexpert be interested in getting involved in this?

How about a "Social Saving" app

    idea has 2 parts.

    1) debt reduction: you and an anonymous group of random MSE users each enter your debts and you see your % share of the combined total. As each member pays off their segment everyone see's the whole debt shrinking (Good for moral and keeping it going)

    2) good deals: we enter the list of products we'd like to buy and every member get part of that list to look out for! When they see an item they put the price and location in to the app and the person that wants can see this info. They'll get a list of shop prices as well as on line deals to make then can decide where to buy.

(well the above are not that great but thought id post them anyway^__^) lol

I really think this is a brilliant idea! I would love the fact that there was a bit of competition in clearing debts and some gentle banter/support. Although I don't have an Iphone, but I'm sure I'll end up with one.
