I am absolutely bricking it as I have not had a date for 20 years...but my friend says he's nice...

(and I bet I don't get told off for having a non-flying post)

But I have decluttered a bag of dressing-up togs to school! (Which is good as they were clogging up my bedroom NOT that they would have been seen by anyone anyway - not known for rushing stuff, me!:rotfl:)

    I keep grinning though...
So... more details please :D... when... where... what are you going to wear...

    and have a lovely time!!!

Are they expensive Jackiewhizz??? Mine is old and picks up nothing, and will eventually need to admit defeat and get a new one. Im wondering if its worth going the whole hog and getting a decent one instead of a cheapy 'that will do for now' job?

Well mine cost £229 delivered - its a DC23 wraparound thingy with a special tool for hairy bits & an extra one too. My old one is just shy of 7 years old & needs quite alot of parts so decided to go the whole hog with a new one as old one doesn't wrap up & is a bit of a pain to store. Of course new one has a 5 year guarantee on it too. If you just want the basic wraparound I saw some in Mr S the other week for £169.(Sold out now but they can't be the only ones selling them)

She rang me 5ish and stuck in traffic coming out of Cardiff - spoke to her about 20 mins ago and she was stressing as bumper to bumper on M4 icon9.gif Am frightened to ring her in case it distracts from her driving and am really worried now. Dont know what the roads are like up there but it is sticking big time here at the moment and we always get off lightly

Sorry about the off topic post :o

    Hi all
Hope everyone is OK? Sending hugs to anyone who needs one - sorry, but I haven't been able to keep up with things...just a bit busy at the moment!

    Flying-wise I've done the following:

Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Area
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Wipe and replace small appliances
    Declutter and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
    [STRIKE]Wipe units/appliances
Clear and wipe window sills.. do not put back the junk.. bin it![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Tidy, clear and wipe the top of the fridge and freezer[/STRIKE] Was good to do this one...hasn't been done since we moved in over 18 months ago.... is much better now...

Clean one small appliance thoroughly.. microwave, kettle, iron,
[STRIKE]Clean appliance filters.. WM, DW, Kettle, Vacuum cleaner.. cooker hood.. :p[/STRIKE] DW in progress at the moment. WM has an inaccessible one which doesn't need doing (instruction manual says so....I'm not so sure!), kettle done on a regular basis as the water is very hard here, and the filter on the Dyson only needs doing once or twice a year (and has been done recently).
    Extras[STRIKE]Sharpen knives
[/STRIKE] Not needed. Have knives with permanent sharpness...Kitchen Devils or something.
    1. [STRIKE]Order and organise the spices and sauces.[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Sort the plastic boxes/tupperware [/STRIKE] Mostly all being used in the freezer/cupboards.
    3. [STRIKE]Medical box - restock and inventory. I'm sure a lot of us will have run out of the vitals the last few months![/STRIKE] Ongoing thing. I keep on top of this as you never know when you'll need the Calpol!
I've still got a few things to do this evening: make sandwiches for DD, clear DS's toys, sweep the floor and generally tidy the living room. Then I can sit down with the Hairy Bikers and do some knitting.

Hope everyone has a good evening.
    No snow here yet....
    Take care

I know its hard Poppytime, but dont call her. If she is in trouble she will ring you - and good news about bumper to bumper means no one is speeding. Just give her a bit of time and try not to worry. They said at 6pm that there was 9 miles of tailbacks on the A470....and the M4 was even worse. South Wales police have said DO NOT GO OUT....simple as. As soon as everyone gets home, stay there. It might take her a while, but she will get there.

Safe travel vibes - hope she gets home before too long xx

I have decluttered a pizza, got ready for bed and decluttered dirty laundry to the basket. Ive put a wash on.....

Cant remember what else - was distracted by the thread :D

Back from the day job, but treated myself to a lunch hour today as me time....per Piggers instructions.

Tour of TK Maxx resulted in a Regatta fleece & Craghoppers fleece. Sadly no Craghoppers coats in my size.

Picked up DS. deposited children who aren't mine and tried another TK Maxx - DS is very good at spotting things so I now have 2 Regatta sweat-tops (in apparently cool colours!) and Karrimor walking shoes.

So that's my birthday money (yet to come) spent then:rotfl: - maybe as I'm on a roll I should get Lottery tickets?

Best go organise food, but am feeling too cold to move, temperature outside is dropping rapidly - very icy roads in store tomorrow I fear.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
