Don't be fooled into buying these electrical goods,I bought my washer dryer a year and a half ago and the circuit board has completely gone!
Customer services won't help, they keep saying they will get back to me and don't! Meanwhile I have a 9 month old and our washing is building up!!!
They want £130 to come out and fix the problem which should never have broken in the first place after such a short period,I will never be recommending these products.
STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Don't bother buying, the on off temperature control switch fused creating a power surge back to the fuse box taking out the supply to the trip. Parts hard to come by. Howdens don't care, only had product 16 months.0

Wow, glad I saw this!
Would it be safe to assume Smeg or Bosch are the way to go?
Where could I get the best prices from reputable suppliers? Do which give you a good comparision?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0 -

Bosch, though not quite what they were, are still good. Smeg, on the other hand, are all style and no substance.....0 -
Am I also correct in thinking that Siemens and Neff share Bosch components?
AEG presumably are another decent brand?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0 -
Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all BSH Group products and there is a huge amount of shared components between them. Very little is actually German made now.
AEG is actually Electrolux and usually rebadged Lux Group stuff with a fancy shell and a price hike to boot. It isn't German at all.

So is the electrolux stuff comparable to the Bosch stuff?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0

But most of it is Swiss or German made ( if Swedish owned).... Up until last year I would have agreed with that statement but they have taken the brand back to its german roots and producing far better gear that they were. The new AEG stuff is certainly comparable with all but the top end of BSG group product, and are now worth the price hike over the other brands in the group. You are right in saying this has not always been so to be fair.
Would say that generally BSG are easier to deal with in the event of a fault occuring though.0
