Ooh such excitement..
I've decided to start using my credit card in the proper way, ie using it for purchases but paying them off straight away so to not incurr interest and to keep my credit rating up. Had a letter from barclaycard the other day to say my card is now changing to a freedom card.To congratulate myself on becoming debt free I treated myself to some new clothes from the EMP mail order catalogue... £96 quids worth  But now I've not got £120 odd going to the egg card every week I can afford it
Also had my music magpie cheque through yesterday so also planning on booking my bass grade exam next week when I've got the cash.
Also, in other exciting news, my band have just confirmed our first gigSat 5th June sooo excited. Trouble is we've been asked to supply backline so now I'm looking at whether it might be time to upgrade my amp. Last time I played the venue with my ex-ex-band I really struggled to hear it onstage although my bass was going DI into the PA so was fine for the crowd.... hmmmm.. If I saved for a month I could get something for around £400 which would do me a fair while I think.. what to dooo...

Hi all.. sorry for the lack of updates but things have been ridiculously busy in IA land. Mostly work and things. I'm currently studying for my grade 4 bass exam which will be anytime in june/july and my band that I was in has folded
But the main bits of news are than my beloved cat Lewis died last week. The vets believed he was either poisoned or contracted meningitis or something to do with his brain anyway. I was utterly heartbroken and still am to a degree. It was truly awful and came on so quickly. One day he was fine, 3 days later he was dead.
I miss him so much
He was only 2 1/2 too.
The other news is that last week I was also interviewed and offered a job as money advice caseworker. I'm just sorting out final details now but should be starting in the next few weeks. Feels like a bit of a bitter sweet victory as I got the call the day after Lewis died so couldn't really think straight. Will post up more details as and when I get them but the job is with another local CAB and am hoping to keep a link to my current bureau, either paid or voulntarily, but have to see what the new hours are to say for sure. Sadly the contract is only until november but it's something at least.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi
Sorry to hear about Lewis - he will now be frolicking over the Rainbow Bridge with all the the other loved furry ones we have lost.
Great news on the job - would be even better if you could keep your links with your old CAB.0 -
Sorry to hear about Lewis.
