Urgent help needed - cant upload Uni assignment due to a virus!

I have just tried to upload my examinable work to my Uni website but have the response below.

I dont know how there can be anything wrong with it - its a word document I wrote myself.

I am not techie and know nothing about computers really. I have Kaspersky as it was recommended to me. I know my internet is not encrypted as we have two laptops and could only do that for one or the other not both so we just run the defaul setting. Please help!

Capture a screen print of the 'Virus' message by pressing Shift-PrtSc then paste into a Word Doc and save it.

You can use this later to prove you were not inventing tales as to why you could nit upload assignment on time. I'm pretty sure you would not then be penalised.

Thanks - thats a brilliant idea. I will hand in a hard copy tomorrow anyway and show them the screenshot to see if someone from their tech dept can help me. Thanks for that!

Resave it in another format (as a .RTF) rename and upload again. Nothing to lose by trying.

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION') down5.png
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and go to UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated go to SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the log COMPLETE here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

If by that you mean that you are running an open wireless network, that is not very sensible. The default settting on all modern routers offers at least WEP encryption. That is very easily cracked, but better than nothing at all. Otherwise your connection and possibly your network are wide open.
Upgrade your wireless encryption to WPA ASAP.
There is no connection between running two laptops on one router and the security level.
