CPW/E2save iPhone aarrgghhhh

Have been trying to negotiate with CPW re and upgrade to iphone I am already on o2 - no joy with a deal (apparently once you get the iphone you move to o2 anyway which explains some of their lack of interest) happy to go with the £ 35.00 per month the sticking point is the upfront payment £ 89.00 - anyway e2save are doing £ 60 cashback effectively making the phone £ 29.00 But no one either at CPW or o2 can give me a definate answer to can I take my existing number with me o2 to o2 I know you normaly cant but they are both telling me I "should" be able to .... so has anyone done it this way and is this deal the best i'm going to get

thanks in advance

you can normally move your number within the same network if you go from o2 contract > o2 payg > o2 contract ... silly but it works
  • thanks but i'm not payg i'm contract - it almost feels like I am being forced to move network to secure my number !!! has anyone managed to do it

You can't get a new customer deal and than move your existing number to it on the same network. Its called a back door upgrade and none of the networks will allow it.
As above, you need to port your number to a payg sim, and then back, yes its long winded but that's the point they don't want you doing it...
