What happens next?- Once we've approved your application we'll send you a welcome pack with your account number and sort code.
- We'll also text your account details directly to your mobile, so you'll be able to use your new account as soon as possible.
- If we require any more information from you in the meantime, we'll get in touch and ask you to bring further ID into your local branch.
- If for some reason you don't qualify for this account, we'll look at your details and we might be able to offer an alternative account to meet your needs.
- When your account is opened, we’ll give you a quick call to make sure your card, cheque book and PIN have arrived safely. We’ll also talk you through our additional services and accounts that could be suitable to you.

Not atall, it's a default message everyone gets.
The decision isn't made there and then online, you'll get to hear in the post. If you haven't applied for an overdraft I can't see why they'd say no unless you've had severe credit problems in the past. You get to choose the branchsortcode when you apply, it normally gives you the ones nearest your home address.
I opened my first Vantage in a City branch, got their sort code
The second one I opened online, I didn't get a choice of sort code and was allocated the sort code of my local (to home) branch0 -
