which broadband should i get

hello,
Recently got Bt landline installed just to get a broadband fast enough (i think 8 MB speed is enough) so that my son could play online games to his friends on wii. we just found out that we live quite far from exchange and cant get best and cheap deals(Be,O2,)..spoke to talk talk, plusnet , virgin, they all want us to get their phone line as well. As we have already got Bt just 4 days ago, we dont know what to do .we cant cancel landline contract as we have to pay early cancellation fee as far I know. Could anybody please suggest us which broadband provider should we go with so that we could keep bt line and our son could play online on wii.
thanks...

You do not have to have your phone line with Plusnet, you can keep your line with BT and have broadband only with them on their Value or Premium packages.

What are your LLU options? No general advice is possible as broadband is exchange specific.
https://www.samknows.com, then exchange search, LLU Operator Presence.
Plenty of ISP's do not require you take call packages, if you move your line rental now then you will have to pay BT a substantial early termination fee.
Beware that online gaming eats bandwidth, so a limited usage package such as Plusnet Value with 10GB may not be enough.
You don't need 8 megs to play online games.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I'd go with 02 (but stay away from their Access product) :)
