How do you sort out what is an idea, and what is chat? Usually, its someone saying what they did and what they earnt that spurs you on to try it yourself, or gives you an idea...
I agree with Amber, I need the chat. It keeps me motivated. It'd be a shame to split it up,though, why don't people just not read back if you don't have the time? Any good ideas will be mentioned again and again anyway.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

And besides who is to judge what is useful and what is drivel? Drivel to one is useful to another. I am getting really sick of the catty, nasty, prejudiced people on these forums in general. I thought the people in this thread were better than that!
Thankyou for everyones support,but due to the thread being overtaken by social dribble,I feel it best to leave.Thankyou"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -
Ok - I am leaving this thread. Bing0 - it was mentioned several times way back about what did you want to do as creator of the thread - split into 2 or just have one? There was no response.
If you guys create a chatterfest, then please PM me and let me know. But I am not really up for just bragging about my total or someone elses each week.

Noo, don't leave! The thread won't disband will it? And it sounds like the majority of people who have joined want it to stay the same. We could have one thread for ideas and one for chat, like the Tesco voucher codes threads, but isn't it enough to just keep putting links etc on the first post as and when they come up through general discussion like we have been having?I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -

Don't be daft, your stuck here!
Totally agree about not wanting it to be just bragging about totals and what's going right for other people though; How is that even remotely motivating?
Nobody needs to create a chatterfest, it's already here0 -
Without wishing to sound like a spoilt child, if the thread is altered or split in any way, i won't be sticking around. I love this thread and for me there is a great balance between ideas and chatting and this makes the dynamics of the thread unique - this wouldn't in my view be achievable if it is split/ altered. It is easy to scan through and separate the chat from the ideas, not every post has to be read in detail if the reader does not find it useful. I hope that this hasn't caused a divide in the 'community'.
I also believe that it was unfair to single out the poster's comment about blaming the weather - she was showing empathy to another person and was saying that for her personally this has been holding her back so far. She was also being humorous. This does not detract from how much she wants the 10k and does not reflect her ability to achieve this goal.Just £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0 -

You're welcome.
Anyway back to the topic, the La Senza basque I am selling seems to be the biggest hit at the moment. Almost as I listed it got bid on and it has 4 watchers and still has 4 days to go! I hope the books I ordered come tomorrow I am really bored at the mo and need something constructive to do! Feeling a bit in limbo, waiting for items to be bought and have nothing to list!0 -
only my 2pence worth here.......
but what might be rubbish to one person could be the treasure of an idea to another
I tend to skip over and skim at times (not always) but I have gotten both giggles and some really good inspiration and ideas from the so called chatter on this thread. Motivation comes in all forms to different people.I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0
