please please please could somebody give me a kick up the butt!!! i have absolutely no inclination, energy, drive whatever to get moving today and the last couple of days have been much the same, just plodding on with what i have in place already, havent even made dinner yet! have made a grand total of 99p on ebay today - thats not even been paid yet. i have managed however to spend about £30 on cake equipment/colourings etc even bought a lovely 3 tier cake stand- have decided to offer cupcakes to match the celebration cakes may as well capitalise on any orders thinking of charging 30p a cupcake - any thoughts appreciated on the pricing.

Evening all
I was looking through my bookcase wondering if I could part with any of my books (I can't) when I saw that I have a book called 'Secrets of Six-Figure Women' (Barbara Stanny). I thought i'd have a quick scan and see if there's anything useful to share.
The author has identified four traits that she believes a woman should have if they are to 'change financial lanes' and make money. These are:
- A profit motive (wanting to make money, feeling good about money, enjoying what money can give them).
- Audacity (stepping outside comfort zone, doing something she's not sure she can do - including experiences she won't relish).
- Resilience (getting back up and keeping on going, responding positively to setbacks).
- Encouragement (nurturing relationships, people who believe in them, support, prodding along) - we have a mix of these approaches here!
Additionally, she says that the woman must have self-awareness (striving to know who they are and what they want - their goals, values, priorities, skills and talents) nonattachment (willing to let go of what doesn't work or holds them back) and financial know-how (understanding and following the rules of money).
Now, I think we all have these, don't you?!!!
I can't see why these factors can't work equally well for men - so don't feel left out! :PJust £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";

Skintbint - Cupcakes sound fab, I don't know much about pricings but that seems very low to me -10 for £3 sounds like a bit of a bargain?Just £10,852.28p to go...

Your're doing fine hunny xx
If you do the large size... muffins you could charge £1 or more with peoples names on .... say for the office, where a normal cake would be no good but 6 muffin size ones would.. with names on or valentines hearts, mothers day with flowers.. St Patricks Day ones, ETC ETC at a tabletop or fete.. sorry just thinking off the top of my head.. don't sell yourself too cheap.
I am sure Ambers (i think) whip will be out soon.;)

I know that might not bring in anything straight away, but lots of people on here have been saying how good they are
Have you tried the other bingo sites through Quidco? I joined Bingon and Paddy Power today and have won on Bingon plus you get your money back (or more!) from Quidco...
Thank youI'm looking at setting up blogs, but need some help with getting people onto the site. If anyone has any knowledge, I'd love to hear it? I've searched the web but most of the blogs link to a "Buy my software it'll make you a millionaire" website, which I don't want! I love to write, though, so it'd be perfect. I'll look at other bingo sites, too!
Skintbint - It's fine to have a rubbish day once in a while! I think 30p seems quite cheap, does that leave you any profit? If it does, then thats perfect, if not, I think 50/60p is about average, with a few pence off each for multibuys.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Hi Skintbint (AKA Richbint!) - I agree with everyone else
30p sounds too cheap, I like the personalising idea (then 30p really WILL be far to low) and perfect time to advertise coming up to valentines day :T
