I've been trying to join the Ladbroke bingo after someone kindly posted about it today (yesterday?). Not going very smoothly so far - I registered and then tried to deposit but it refused to let me as it said I had the password wrong. Tried logging out and logging in by pressing the "forgotten password" button and they sent me a message saying they had emailed me. But they hadn't. Tried again, nothing. So after much faffing about (my word of the day) I asked for help via the online button. Nice lady gave me a temporary password. Then I tried to play - Bingo Britain is my only experience of this sort of thing so far and so I was expecting something similar, but Ladbroke's looks so much more complicated. There are so many different games and I really don't know which one to play. I have now chickened out and decided to have another go later when I feel a bit more brave.

Any tips for getting started please? I've been debating doing this through cashback sites at first for all the offers, don't know how to go about it though?

  • Sorry to sound daft, but how much can you earn before you have to inform the tax man, and how can you keep accounts when you buy from ebay and car boots etc, when you have no receipts, I would like to have a go at this challenge , but am worried about the taxman some advice and tips would be gratefully recieved.

If you are buying to resell then you need to inform HMRC within 3 months as you are classed as self employed. You could be fined if you don't.

Not sure what the limit is for tax (i think its around 6k) but you may need to pay NI contributions also. If you think your profit will be low then fill out a form for a "small earnings certificate".

You can actually register as self employed at https://www.hmrc.gov.uk (I think you click on self employed from the top - its been so long since I dealt with the website so they may have changed it, gulp you may just have figured out who I work for **dons hard hat**)

    thank you :)

My dh thinks I'm mad as I've spent most of today making a list of items from around the house that I can sell but it will be so worth it, not only for the extra cash but for the extra space too !!!

I will work out how much I've made on ebay and add that to my sovereign and will add a ticker.

Off to write some more reviews on dooyoo :)

Hmmm - first lot of items on ebay and I have just had a question from a lady in Italy and asking if I can post there.
First question....how do I get a price to quote for delivery to Italy? and second wuestion, is it really worth my while? It is for 3 pairs of boys aged 2 elasticated trousers which are currently unbid (1 watcher, presumably this Italian lady) only on at 99p.....all opinions welcome! (I have only put my items on cheap as I am using it as a learning curve!!)

    Thanks in advance.......
