I have had my cookie for some time now and tonight to connect it to my PC so that I can take the photo's/videos off my phone. I have followed the little instruction booklet to the letter and it keeps coming up with a "failed to connect" message. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or missing out here?

Its troublesome I know - I have it.

Best way (whcih I guess you tried) is to start Lg Suite first on the computer and when it asks to connect mobile, then hook the cable into the mobile and other into pc (it should then prompt which mode to use, PC Suite, Data Mode etc).

If it fails, make sure you unplug cable from pc and mobile and turn off pc suite from the tray icon in windows. Then try again.

Other approach do not use pc suite - connect mobile to pc with cable and it should prompt and choose data mode.
  • Make sure your phone is on - I once spent 10 mins screaming at my LG Cookie to work then realised it only connects when on

Both me and my son have LG Cookie's. Whilst mine connects with no problems whatsoever, whether using pc suite or as mass storage device, his won't connect at all. Going to really need to experiment to get his going.

I got an LGCookie for Xmas and have downloaded a complatible game (GT Racing academy) but when it starts it tells me to switch the phone to landscape mode. Most websites suggest if I tilt the handset it should go into landscape - mine doesnt and I cant find anywhere to change it in any settings. Am I missiing something??

I think its something about the app or game that makes it possible to switch portrait to landscape. Otherwise the phone just does not know the particular app/game is capable of switching. Its pretty poor - there is no setting you can change either for the game before running it either (at least I have not found). As a gaming phone, its useless (the best gaming phones I have used were the Nokia 6280 and Sony k810i).

thanks - I was afraid of that!

I downloaded the game from the LG website and they indicate it is compatible and it seems it isn't!

    Waste of points!
