  • Hi, I have just joined today with the aim of becoming deft free. I would like my spend for this week to be £30.00 please.
  • Greetings Money Savers!

I have made my soup ready for tomorrow's lunch flask and still have some flapjacks from the last batch so tomorrow's packed lunch is good to go.

Two spending commitments this week are a colleague's lunchtime celebration and a catch up with a friend after work... so I will be trying to stick to my £15 limit rigidly. Bring it on!

Also - Hi 1stdayofmylife :hello:- this challenge really helped me last week so I say good luck and enjoy the support and fun to be found amongst fellow monesysavers on the forum.
Proud to be dealing with my debt

I'm going to try for £60 again this week please!
  • Hi, thanks for making the new thread pointy :)

I UTTERLY failed last week, spent £140 on yarn... even more annoying because I was so good and didn't spend any money until then :( Nevermind, I will learn, especially as I have given my cards to my OH for safe keeping, at least until I come out of the manic phase.

May I please be put down for £15 this week again? I will try to keep my mania under better control :)

NSD for me today - stayed in and did my Davina pre-natal workout while DH took the kids sledging :-) It felt so good after not exercising at all since mid October!

pointypenguin, hello I am back :) I thought monthly management would be better for me. God so wrong! December was a terrible spend month (forget Christmas! even my good intention on taking lunch to work went away).

Can you add me for a weekly pledge Sunday to Friday of £20

Thank you, Happy to be back :)

I finished the week on £13/£30 so £17 to the money saving pot.
I never before thought about this. I used to do a pledge and renew the week after but was not "moving" the saved amount of money to a "pot".
You inspired me. I definitely going to do this :money:

  • I was rubbish last week - spent 11.01 against my budget of £3.50. I was a bit optimistic with the £3.50, but I had thought half the week would be an expenses paid work trip, but it was cancelled due to the weather, so did over spend.

Anyway, budget for this week is £9.20
( which includes £4 at the Boots 75% sale hopefully starting on Wednesday where I've got my eye on a nice make-up set)
