I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -
Go on RAC site and start doing a car data check.put in the reg no then the validation letters and it should tell you the exact model...Dont have to pay til after this stage!!! Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

Try the Caarparts web site (http://www.caarparts.co.uk/#&&/wEXAQUBcwUESE9NRZMSj9n/FztMcVhdfXjHA+lLg/bK)
You may need to register with them.
Enter the Regn Number and it will give you most of the vehicle details
including; sub model; vin number; to name a few!
If you do not wish to register with them PM your Reg No and I will do it (I'm already registered)0 -
Have you looked on the V5? Sometimes its stated on there. Failing that most astras like mine have the trim level in lettering on the door bumper strips.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

It listed every detail but the sub-model!! >.<
And RAC want money after you have entered the VIN.
Grr I've wasted such a lot of time on this.
By process of elimination I think its an LS. Its the only one with steel wheels as standard and midnight black as a colour option.
I should have mentioned earlier, its ex-police. And I've just found out elsewhere it might be a non-standard, or at least non-UK, spec! This would explain a lot. In which case I presume the insurance company doesn't have a specific quote for my trim! In which case I have no idea what to do.0 -

I tried that last time. But I guess now I can explain the lengths I've gone to to find out.0 -
you dont need to get as far as the vin on the RAC.
Go to the home page, click on car data check in grey box, then on next page click go in the car data check box,go to box that says buy 1 check then enter reg no before go..then enter the validation letters(this ensures you have the right car!!!) it then brings up the model..just done it for my car, didnt pay!! Am thinking of a new one:beer:0 -
